December 2020 Updates #13 | CPRewritten HTML5 2021 Version Details Revealed!

Some time ago, Stu answered us frequently asked questions regarding the HTML5 version.

By answering these questions, some details of CPR 2021 are revealed.

Frequent Questions:

The game will be going under maintenance starting Dec. 31 and it will be lasting for a few days as we transfer everything to our HTML5 client. We will of course try our best to speed this process up, however, we have a large community and that obviously means a longer process to transfer data over.

Can I play via browser still?

Yes, you basically don't have to do any extra work. It will be loading just as normal with no efforts to activate (like previously with flash), you log in on the normal play page (https://play.cprewritten.net/)

How would I play on mobile?

You can play via mobile by using the Safari browser or any other browser you might have on your mobile. We plan on changing the UI for mobile shortly.

What will be available at the launch of HTML5?

Players can expect the main things such as waddling, rooms, chatting, clothing, etc. You will be able to decorate your igloos with a fresher look, save igloos, etc.

Mini-games will be available at launch with more coming on the way, this will be a priority for us, definitely. Puffles won't be here at the start but we plan on also making those a priority too.

If the newspaper won't be there at the start, where will I receive the news?

I plan on making blog posts more often to share both progress for the HTML5 client and also in-game content such as upcoming events and sneak peeks. I am still working on a reward type of system for the blog posts like the newspaper had.

So my friends list and everything else is saved?

Yup, nothing will be going away!

Which mini-games will be available at launch?

Hydro hopper, dance contest (if a bug is fixed before launch), astro barrier, thin ice, puffle roundup, ice fishing, bean counters soon, and we're also experimenting with other games to see how they perform with a third party so we can release with 8 games too.

Without a doubt the highlight were the minigames that were revealed. Besides that with the phone we will no longer have to download Puffin browser to be able to play CPRewritten.
