Club Penguin Staff (2005 - 2018)


On this page you can see the list of all those who were part of the Club Penguin staff from 2005 to 2018. In addition, brief information is given of the most recognized moderators in the game during the time he lived.

  • Rsnail: Rsnail (real name Lance Priebe) was a well known moderator on Club Penguin. Along with Lane Merrifield and Dave Krysko, he is the founder of Club Penguin. Rsnail is also the founder of RocketSnail Games, which consisted of games that he created with the help of the RocketSnail Games team. The most popular game of his site was Penguin Chat 3, the predecessor to Club Penguin. Rsnail used to post frequently on the Club Penguin blog during the Beta Testing. As of October 2010, he no longer works for Club Penguin.



  • Skidder: Dave Krysko (known as Skidder in-game) is one of the co-founders of Club Penguin. He was the owner and founder of New Horizon Interactive, the company that originally created and developed the game Club Penguin. He left the team in 2010.


  • Billybob: Lane Merrifield, better known by his penguin's name Billybob, is a well known former Club Penguin moderator who often posted news on the official Club Penguin blog. He worked with Rsnail and Skidder to create Club Penguin. Billybob was one of the three founders of Club Penguin. His catchphrase is "Waddle On!", as seen on almost all of his blog posts. When on Club Penguin, he was often found wearing the Green Letterman Jacket and the Green Ball Cap or Red Ball Cap. He left the team in februaly 1, 2013.


  • Screenhog: Screenhog (real name Chris Hendricks, alias Zippo Penguin) was a moderator and artist who mainly worked on audio, art, animation and writing for Club Penguin. On April 1, 2011 he announced that he left Club Penguin in October 2010. To date, he is one of the most well-known moderators in Club Penguin history. He used to work for a company along with Lance Priebe called Hyper Hippo Productions. He also has his own personal website. He was the first artist in the Club Penguin team and was also a composer of many recognized songs of the game.

  • Happy 77: Happy77 (real name Holly Hildebrandt) was a moderator in Club Penguin. She worked with the team starting from Penguin Chat 3, in 2005, until she left in October 2012. She worked for Polo Field on blog and social media stuff with other known moderators like Businesmoose, Daffodaily5, Chattabox and Tour Guide. She was also the first writer of club penguin.


  • Gizmo: Gizmo was a former moderator and employee in Club Penguin. Many people thought Gizmo's real name was Dave Krysko, but this was proved wrong when Screenhog confirmed that Dave Krysko is not Gizmo. He was in charge of the parties, parades, and fun events around Club Penguin. Gizmo joined the Club Penguin team on December 29, 2005. Gizmo was the most active out of all moderators. He left the team in May 14, 2011.

  • Goodtea: Goodtea (real name Troy Mack) was a moderator and producer in Club Penguin. Goodtea was Club Penguin's second artist, hired in February 2006.
In August 2006 he became a Game Designer designated to develop new mini-games for Club Penguin. He became the senior game designer in October 2009, and held that position until November 2011. That month he was promoted to a Producer for Disney Interactive Studios. He left Disney Interactive in April 2015 to pursue his own projects.



  • Grasstain: Grasstain or Smulley (real name Charity Gerbrandt) was a moderator that worked for Club Penguin. She was the Production Manager, Lead Producer, and Principal Creative Lead. Her first appearance was in the Disney Channel: Game On Marvel Super Hero Takeover Preview, and she did not make an appearance again until the Club Penguin Summit. He left the team in April 2016. Grasstain joined the Club Penguin Team in 2006.


  • Polo Field: Polo Field (real name Chris Gliddon) was a moderator in Club Penguin. He was in charge of the Community and Social Media areas of Club Penguin, answering fan comments, and working on blog posts and videos. He was originally hired as a community support rep in 2006 by Gizmo, and was later hired as a member of the development team by Rsnail in July 2007. He left the team in 2015.

  • Spike Hike: Spike Hike (real name Chris Heatherly) is a former moderator of Club Penguin. He was a VIP Manager and was soon promoted to General Manager after Billybob's retirement. It was confirmed on Club Penguin blog posts in Twitter and by a blog post by him. He join the team in 2007 and left the team in 2016.

  • Businesmoose: Businesmoose (real name Johnny Jansen) was a Club Penguin Staff Member (social media). He was revealed to penguins in the video that first showed Server Jumping. He was featured in many other videos that are famous on Club Penguin blogs, making his fame much bigger and himself more well known throughout the community. He join the team in 2007 and left the team in 2013.


  • Ninja: Ninja or Cory Ransom is a motion graphics editor for Disney Interactive.He was a moderator in Club Penguin, and he took the place of Businesmoose as a What's New Blogger. He join the team in 2008 and left the team some time after the closure of Club Penguin. He was mostly known for his participation in The Spoiler Alert.


  • Deamama: Deamama or Deanna was a moderator and What's New Blogger for Club Penguin and Club Penguin Island. She resigned from Disney on July 7, 2017.


  • Federflink1: Federflink1 was a German writer for the What's New Blog in German. He was also the main German moderator. He joined the team in 2011 and left on september 16, 2014.


  • Tour Guide: Tour Guide was a former moderator in Club Penguin. It was known she was a moderator because she appeared in several sneak peeks. Tour Guide appears in many pictures of the Club Penguin Parents Facebook. She was an intern for Polo Field and helped approve blog comments for the What's New Blog. He joined the team in 2012 and left in 2013.

  • Megg: Megg (real name Bobbi Jean Rieger) was a moderator in Club Penguin Island, as well as a social media staff member, blogger and formerly a Club Penguin intern to Polo Field and Ninja. She announced her departure from the Club Penguin Island team in the fifth episode of season two of Island Insider. He joined the team in 2013 and left in  2017. It was one of the most recognized mods and wanted by the community. He even had his own event called #MeggMonday and helped create The Spoiler Alert.





  • Loustik005: Loustik005 (real name Didier Thevenon-Gleed) was a blogger for the French What's New Blog. He was also the main French moderator and held some events for French users. He also had his own event called #MercrediLoustik. He joined the team in 2009 and left him in 2015.

  • Chattabox: Chattabox (real name Lauren) is a penguin who sometimes posts on the What's New Blog. She works in the Club Penguin Australian Office in Melbourne and she often hosts her own parties every Thursday at 4pm (East Australian Standard Time). She is often found with her side-kick Squiblet, another Australian Club Penguin team member. He joined the team in 2007 and left him after club penguin closed.


  • Kezacoa: Kezacoa was a French translator and blogger of Club Penguin Island and formerly of Club Penguin. After the departure of Loustik005, she was the only active blogger on the What's New Blog, and continued to write for the Island News Blog. I leave the team after Club Penguin closes.


  • Tato Maxx: Tato Maxx was a Spanish moderator and blogger of Club Penguin Island and formerly of Club Penguin. After the departure of Karlapop321 and Candomba13, he was the only active blogger on the Spanish What's New Blog, and continued to write for the Island News Blog. He joined the team in 2012 and left him in December 2018 after the closing of club penguin.


  • Gajotz: Gajotz was a Brazilian moderator and blogger of Club Penguin Island and formerly of Club Penguin. After the departure of Tulip4zul, he was the only active blogger on the What's New Blog, and continued to write for the Island News Blog. He joined the team before 2012 and left him after club penguin closes.


  • Daffodaily5: Daffodaily5 (real name Laura) was a former moderator and blogger who worked for Club Penguin. She posted UK exclusive news and updates on the What's New Blog. Her first blog post was on August 3, 2012, about new UK exclusive items, facts about her and the Adventure Party: Temple of Fruit, and her last blog post was on June 1, 2015 announcing her departure.

  • Yamfry: Yamfry (real name Angela Doak) is a female moderator that works for Club Penguin. She is the head of "Guest Experience", a newer term for the Club Penguin Support Team, in which members answer questions that players have. He joined the team in 2008 and left when club penguin closed.


  • Styoma Storm: Styoma Storm (real name Gerard Poitras) is a male moderator that works for Club Penguin. He is the head of Online Safety. He has been interviewed on many parental websites about online safety. He joined the team in 2012 and left when club penguin closing.
